San Diego Kiteboarding

San Diego Kiteboarders

Well, looking at some forecasts it looks like only good bet for wind this weekend is San Quintin. Damnit. I really don't want to deal with Mexico. Flu, gangs, Montezuma, car jackers, armed check points. suck!
Looks like central Cali is getting rain or gusty winds. Isabella might work, but it's an inland lake.

Any ideas kids?

well there is always the option of our gioverment freaking out and closing the border.

we were all set for san quintin but changed our mind and are heading for Pismo.

Isabella is gusty as hell, you can kite there with a big board and small kite I guess, but iit will be like stinkies on a stormy day or worse, and next to no margin for error.

Maybe lake Mohave has wind, but that is cold and has no margin for error either unless you rent a boat or something.

BTW, I don't think Baja has seen the swine thing. As long as we're away from people, there's no threat.

The most dangerous thing in Mex right now is the swine flu. As long as you make a B-line for SQ, it's no problem. Hotel Jardin was awesome, and the wait at the border coming back 2 weeks ago was 25 min. Was out at Stinks today, but really need another good weekend of wind! Anyway, I'm up for anything, so let me know what you're thinking.
