Stinkies is way better than you make it sound. Save flat water and we have wind and acceptable temperatures all year around at least on days here and there.

Back from Puerto Rico :-)

Just got back from Puerto Rico, we went there for like 10 days and really had a blast.

I would describe the place as carabean light, you have all the beauty of one of these Islands but still the convienence of being in the states, which means that you have decent shopping in San Juancould dare to rebnt a car to ge arround and are not trapped in some resort or resort town.

We got a god deal on hotel and rental car thru hotwire, I was always really lucky and happy with there services and product… Continue

Stinkey's season is officially open

So yesterday i eneded up at stinkeys again, the likelyhood of wind wasn't high, but I was in the area and it is good place for the dog and paddleboarding anyway.

And look all the usual regular are back, there is basically no wind and everybody from is completely convinced that it will come up any moment.

Yes that is stinkeys kitecommunity at it's best.

I scored a round of paddleboarding, than the wind came up enough to attempt kiting but it wasn't really worse it at all,
I did go out on my 19… Continue

Good weekend real good

wow this was the latest Santa Ana I ever remembered, but hands down these are the best conditions you can get arround San Diego.

I rode the strand on Saturday real fun wind O.K. waves but way to many people in the water to do to much.

I made an upwinder to the north end of the park for better wave riding, which payed off nicely,
not that the waves were much bigger but there was no boogy boards or people standinh in the water so I could line up the waves and riode them all the way in without ob… Continue

Finally a Day worth writing about

So today Sunday the 2nd was my first good kite day since new years.

I went to the Strand 15-20 NNW almost straight sideshore.

he surf was strange but really fun, it looked like not much from the beach but once you crossed the shorebreak it became clear it was at least head high or bigger.

I rde some really nice waves after kiting upwind to the trailerpark, it was just like San quitin wihout all the driving.

I hope everybody else had a good day as well, please ride aboutr it.

No kiting al we… Continue
