Kiteboarding in Texas

I'm going on a trip in about a week to Texas to meet some friends to go fishing. Of course I will be bringing kite my gear. We are going to Corpus Christi TX, and may venture as far down as Padre Island. Do any of you have any experience kiting here or know any friends that can give some tips on the areas? Wish me luck and good wind.
